AirTrunk is seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee the operations of its Osaka data centre. The Operations Director will report to the Regional Data Centre Director and will be responsible for the overall management and development of operations personnel. They will also handle maintenance and financial reporting for the Osaka data centre, critical environment maintenance planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a campus of data centres and a range of customers.
  • Aligning and implementing operational business plans and overall strategy consistent with AirTrunk standards.
  • Managing the planning, budgeting, and control of OPEX and operation-related minor CAPEX.
  • Maintaining strong relationship with customers and all functional teams within Operations.
  • Ensuring health & safety and all other local and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Achieving 100% uptime and compliance with customers' SLAs.
  • Managing all maintenance and repair vendors and OPEX budget.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in facilities or operations management.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese.
  • Electrical or mechanical trade background or degree.
  • Experienced in managing third party service providers and working with Customer Portals, BMS, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to travel to sites within Japan (<25%).
