AirTrunk is seeking a Technical Services Manager to join their team in Nishi-Tokyo. The company is a rapidly growing data center provider in the APJ region. The Technical Services Manager will report to the Operations Director and play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the Tokyo data center.

The Technical Services Manager will lead and mentor a team of Technical Services Managers, oversee contract management of site facilities providers, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a campus of data centers, coordinating maintenance and repair works, and serving as the primary operational contact for customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing critical environment maintenance planning activities.
  • Leading, mentoring, and training a team of Technical Services Managers.
  • Supervising the contract management of site facilities providers.
  • Ensuring 100% uptime and compliance with customer SLAs.
  • Coordinating preventive maintenance and repair works.
  • Maintaining site operating procedures and documentation.
  • Supervising provisioning of data center services.
  • Managing all maintenance and repair vendors and OPEX budget.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in facilities or operations management.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese.
  • Electrical or mechanical trade background or degree.
  • Experienced in managing third-party service providers.
  • Ability to manage internal and external customers.
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations.
  • Ability to travel in Japan (<25%).
