AirTrunk is seeking a Technical Services Manager to join their team in Tokyo. This role is crucial for maintaining 100% uptime and compliance within AirTrunk's data center operations. The Technical Services Manager will report to the Senior Technical Services Manager and work closely with the operations team.Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting the STSM in all aspects of data centre operations.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for the site Facilities Provider.
  • Leading the planning and coordination of preventive maintenance and repair works.
  • Managing OPEX budget.
  • Coordinating with the Development team for construction activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to site operating procedures and compliance with accreditations.
  • Acting as the primary operational contact for customers.
  • Managing the provisioning of data centre services.
  • Supervising operational metrics and conducting property inspections.
  • Participating in the 'on call' critical issue raising roster.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of mechanical and electrical experience in data centres, facilities, engineering operations, trades or related fields.
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese.
  • Ability to establish and review Method of Procedure documents.
  • Experience running 3rd party service providers and negotiating quote/pricing for services.
  • Familiarity with Customer Portals, BMS, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Effective customer management skills.
