Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to join its Drive Unit Engineering team in Newark, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a multidisciplinary background and strong physics fundamentals in drive unit design. This role will be the primary interface with drive unit subsystem technical experts and external stakeholders.Lucid Motors is at the forefront of luxury electric vehicles, committed to redefining the driving experience through innovation and sustainability.Role involves:
Defining and maintaining drive unit technical specifications and system-level requirements.
Signing off and cascading requirements from Vehicle to Drive Unit and Drive Unit to its subsystems.
Driving critical technical decisions with a team of SMEs.
Serving as the central point of contact for design teams, simulation/modeling, vehicle programs, and manufacturing.
Developing Drive Unit DFMEA and DVP with stakeholders.
Requirements:
Engineering Degree with 3+ years of experience in systems engineering or 3+ years of mechanical design experience in electric motor/drive units.
Deep understanding of engineering fundamentals, systems, and working principles of electric vehicles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong team player with a positive mindset.
Proactive, ownership mindset and strong work ethic.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
