Senior Software Engineer, Trading Automation

Job Description

Flow Traders is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Trading Automation team in Amsterdam. This role offers the chance to contribute directly to the firm's core business by developing applications that enhance data frameworks, streamline workflows, and facilitate efficiency. The candidate will work within Flow Traders' technology landscape, creating solutions that automate processes and drive growth. They will collaborate with the global Trading Automation team and other departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the trading landscape.

• Designing, developing, deploying, documenting, and maintaining software solutions for various Trading units.
• Streamlining business processes by identifying inefficiencies and automating them.
• Providing operational support for the products and services delivered by the team.

Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in Python (proficiency in Golang and/or Javascript is advantageous).
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka (knowledge of distributed systems is advantageous).
• Strong teamwork skills and eagerness to learn new skills.
• Demonstrable interest in financial markets is a plus.
• Good stakeholder management skills.
