Flow Traders is seeking a Trading Operations Engineer to join its APAC Trading Operations team in Hong Kong. The candidate will work alongside Traders, Developers, and System Engineers to maintain the stability of proprietary trading systems.
As a member of the Trading Operations team, the individual will offer hands-on support to traders, participate in projects, recommend structural improvements, and monitor trends within their area of expertise.
What the role involves:
- Responding quickly to technical issues affecting trading applications
- Optimizing infrastructure for business needs
- Utilizing project- and change-management tools
- Analyzing and enhancing exchange connectivity
- Monitoring and documenting trading applications and IT infrastructure
- Collaborating with developers to design new in-house applications
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Bash, Python)
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, multicast)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
