Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Technical Project Manager for its HV Battery Module team. This role is crucial for managing the design, development, and validation timelines of battery modules. The Technical Project Manager will report to the Sr Manager, Battery Programs and collaborate with other Technical Project Managers and battery cell engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive attitude and a strong determination to excel in a fast-paced environment. They should demonstrate excellence in their field and possess the ability to learn quickly.
The role involves:
- Managing the design, development, and validation timelines for battery modules.
- Developing and maintaining the battery module development timeline and resource requirements.
- Driving engineering activities, including requirements definition, supplier selection, design release, prototyping, engineering testing, process development, DV & PV testing, and APQP.
- Driving key decisions related to technical aspects, project timing, supplier selection, and change management.
- Managing the bill of materials for the battery module.
- Resolving technical, supplier, organizational, and manufacturing issues.
- Developing and maintaining the battery module roadmap.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in product design and release, or technical project management.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience with high voltage battery systems and electric vehicles.
- Strong technical understanding of high voltage battery systems.
- Systems approach to engineering product development.
- Experience with automotive product development and APQP/PPAP process.
- Familiarity with release and change management, DV, DFMEA, PV development, and product launch activities.
- Experience with quality and problem tools.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
