Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager EMC Design, Power Electronics to lead their EMI/EMC strategy for electric vehicles. This role is crucial in ensuring that Lucid's vehicles meet all necessary EMI/EMC regulations and standards across various regions. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of electromagnetics and extensive experience in power electronics and EMC simulation.
The Manager will be responsible for developing EMI modeling methods, validating simulation models, and developing simulation and testing methods to reduce emissions. They will also assist the power electronics design team in minimizing EMI issues and lead the EMI/EMC capability development within the company.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a strategy for EMI/EMC in Electric Vehicle.
- Develop EMI modeling methods.
- Validate simulation models against measured data.
- Develop simulation and testing methods to reduce conducted and radiated emissions.
- Develop grounding requirements for HV modules.
- Assist power electronics design team in early stage to minimize EMI issues.
- Lead the EMI/EMC capability development.
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of electromagnetics.
- Extensive experience with laboratory equipment (LISNs, Antennas, Spectrum Analyzers, EMI Receivers, Oscilloscopes, Amplifiers etc.).
- Extensive conducted and radiated EMI filter design and debugging experience for power electronics.
- Strong experience in PE and EMC simulation workflows.
- Familiar with EMC test environment setup for different FCC/CISPR standards.
- Good Understanding of EMI/EMC regulations and international standards.
- Excellent communication skills.
