Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. CAD Engineer, Quality to support their Headquarters team. This role involves collaborating with lead CAD engineers to develop CAD best practices, reviewing CAD development status, and developing CAD quality checks. The candidate will provide technical support and guidance to design engineers, troubleshoot issues, and support configuration management.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead CAD engineers to develop the Lucid CAD Best Practices handbook.
- Review CAD development status of Lucid products in PLM.
- Develop CAD quality checks for internal and partner use.
- Provide technical and methodological support for CAD data exchanges.
- Provide technical support and guidance to Design Engineers using CATIA 3DX.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of direct work with CATIA CAD design, preferably CATIA 3DExperience.
- Experience in aerospace, automotive, or complex manufactured products.
- Experience with CAD/PDM/PLM data management principles.
- Practical work with CAD quality management tools (e.g., Q-Checker, i-Check, custom).
- Ability to understand the big-picture while executing work in a detail-oriented manner.
- A high degree of patience and a teaching mindset.
- Great communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
