Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist to join their Engineering Tools Research and Development team. This role is pivotal in driving advancements in Lucid's Engineering Product Development by leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI, computational sciences, and engineering design tools. The Senior Technical Specialist will be responsible for evaluating new technologies, building functional prototypes, and deploying digital products to engineering teams across Lucid.
Role involves:
- Assessing the landscape of available tools and technologies.
- Collecting and analyzing engineering, design, and manufacturing tools needs.
- Collaborating with 3rd party engineering software providers.
- Developing an R&D strategy for the overall Tools/PLM strategic multi-year roadmap.
- Growing and managing multi-project teams.
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 10+ years in automotive (preferred) or other design-, engineering-, and manufacturing-oriented industries.
- Program and/or project management experience (preferred).
- Strong communication skills.
- Prior people-management experience required.
- Strong, systematic problem-solving and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Prior PLM and 3D CAD experience – 3DExperience (preferred) / ENOVIA, CATIA V6 (preferred) / CATIA V5.
