Accessories Engineer, Interior Trim

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking an Accessories Engineer, Interior Trim, to manage the engineering introduction of new interior trim accessories from concept to production. The engineer will create cutting-edge parts for interior systems, focusing on quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost efficiency. They will work interactively within cross-functional teams, understanding the business case for each project, and develop and implement benchmarking and testing plans. This role is based in Southfield, MI.Responsibilities include:

• Managing the engineering introduction of new interior trim accessories.
• Creating cutting-edge parts for interior systems.
• Working interactively within cross-functional teams.
• Developing and implementing benchmarking and testing plans.

Requirements include:

• 3+ years of experience in vehicle interior trim accessories or SVO design & development.
• Experience with interior ornamentation, bright ware, mechanisms, and soft goods.
• Experience solving complex technical issues.
• Experience creating complex CAD models, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6.
• Experience with thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of High and Low Volume Production methods.
• Launch experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
