Job Description
Lucid Motors is seeking a CAE Specialist to lead occupant protection simulations. This role involves evaluating crash performance, generating design recommendations, and building high-fidelity CAE models. The CAE Specialist will work cross-functionally with engineering teams, create analysis reports, and participate in post-test teardowns. They will also conduct DOE/DFSS studies and support the creation of standard work procedures.
Role Involves:
- Executing simulations to evaluate occupant crash performance.
- Generating vehicle design recommendations.
- Building high-fidelity CAE models from CAD data.
- Creating analysis reports and communicating program status.
- Participating in post-test teardowns to correlate CAE results.
- Conducting DOE/DFSS studies.
- Supporting the creation of standard work procedures.
- Leading/mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in vehicle occupant CAE for an Automotive OEM or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Global regulatory and consumer safety requirements.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experience of root causing test performance and correlation of CAE models.
- Ability to present technical issues, CAE results, findings, and propose next steps.
- Advanced user of tools such as Ansa, LS-Dyna, Meta, Primer, Hyperworks etc.
- BS minimum in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
