Engineer, Exterior Trim

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking an Exterior Trim Engineer to contribute to the design and development of exterior systems for luxury electric vehicles. The engineer will play a key role in the packaging, engineering design, release, and launch of exterior trims. This role involves working interactively within a cross-functional studio and vehicle engineering team to create cutting-edge exterior systems with a focus on quality, reliability, functionality, mass, and cost efficiency.Role involves:

• Leading the packaging, engineering design, release and launch of exterior trims
• Creating cutting edge exterior systems
• Working interactively within a cross functional studio and vehicle engineering team
• Employing and developing world class engineering tools

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in vehicle exterior trim design & development
• Experience in side valences, sill trims, underbody aero shields etc.
• Experience creating complex CAD schemes and models, preferably using CATIA V5 or V6
• Experience with thermoplastic & thermoset resin materials and class A manufacturing technologies
• Understanding of computational tools available to design engineers
• Launch experience
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or relevant engineering discipline
