Staff Engineer, Developer Tooling

Job Description

Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their ecosystem developer tooling team. This role involves establishing the technical vision for Postman's apps platform and building developer tools to enable a community of ecosystem developers. The Staff Engineer will be accountable for the strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture of the platform, working with multiple teams to oversee tools such as a developer portal, documentation, app configuration, and sandbox environments.Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and running critical services, providing technical leadership, prioritizing work, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and mentoring senior engineers.What this role involves:

• Providing technical leadership for the architecture.
• Identifying dependencies and reviewing key designs.
• Delivering on multiple projects in collaboration with stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with industry standards in the ecosystem space.
• 10+ years of hands-on coding experience.
• 10+ years of engineering experience building back-end services.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving, design, and analytical skills.
• Experience designing highly scalable systems.
