Job Description
Postman is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join its Cloud Platform Team. The ideal candidate will design and build backend experiences to support the tooling needs of Postman's engineering organization. This role involves collaborating with frontend engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to create solutions that enhance the productivity and efficiency of internal teams.
What This Role Involves:
- Designing and implementing maintainable and scalable solutions.
- Creating high-quality, responsive APIs using modern backend technologies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.
- Developing tools and components that support the workflows of other engineering teams.
- Continuously improving the backend codebase by refactoring and optimizing as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in backend development, preferably in a SaaS or cloud platform environment.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Kubernetes.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
