Job Description
Postman is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Identity Platform team. This role is based in San Francisco, California. The Staff Engineer will be responsible for setting the vision and long-term architecture of Postman's Identity Platform. They will be accountable for the strategy, technical roadmap, and architecture of the platform, working with multiple teams within Identity Engineering to oversee and contribute to delivery, while owning critical KPIs such as availability and uptime.
What this role involves:
- Providing technical leadership for the architecture.
- Leading the team to deliver on multiple projects.
- Partnering with senior EMs and product leaders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Mentoring senior engineers.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Strong experience with industry standards (SAML, SCIM, SSO, oAuth, FIDO).
- 10+ years of hands-on coding experience.
- 10+ years of experience building end-to-end back-end services.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience designing highly scalable systems.
