Engineering Manager, Workspaces

Job Description

Postman is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Workspaces team in Bengaluru. This role is pivotal in enhancing API collaboration for over 30 million users on the Postman platform. The Engineering Manager will drive key initiatives, working closely with community, product, and business stakeholders to improve user experience and establish Postman as the leading tool for API collaboration.Responsibilities:

• Understand and align the team with Postman's vision.
• Grow and develop engineering teams, focusing on career development.
• Drive engineering and technical strategy, contributing to product roadmap.
• Participate in recruiting and onboarding engineering talent.
• Define and measure key performance metrics.
• Identify problems and provide multi-quarter roadmaps.
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Ensure high engineering standards and participate in design and code reviews.
• Maintain end-user experience, performance, security, and high availability.
• Manage on-calls, incidents, performance, bugs, and UX issues.
• Provide measurable OKRs and promote a feedback culture.
• Recognize and celebrate team achievements.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
• 2+ years in people management.
• Experience building Microservices architectures.
• Exceptional communication skills.
