Job Description
Postman is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of AI-powered products, specifically Postbot, an AI assistant for developers. This role involves working with a talented team of engineers, researchers, designers, and product managers to design and implement key components for integrating AI into Postman's product. The ideal candidate will be passionate about AI and its potential to enhance developer productivity.

What this role involves:
  • Evaluating benchmarks and building new agent architectures.
  • Designing and managing data pipelines.
  • Running large-scale experiments to ship new features.
  • Integrating product and research by developing prototypes and translating them to production.
  • Staying updated with the latest machine learning and AI developments.
  • Participating in code reviews and sharing knowledge.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver product features.

Requirements:
  • 2-5 years+ of experience as a product-minded engineer.
  • Experience shipping AI features or building AI infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of basic machine learning methods, especially NLP and generative models.
  • Ability to design and run ML research experiments, engineer prototypes, and build data processing infrastructure.
  • A "validate first and perfect later" mentality.
  • Self-driven and able to work independently and in a team.
  • Passion and interest in AI.
  • Experience with NodeJS or Javascript is a plus.
