Job Description
Postman, a leading API platform, is seeking an Account Development Representative to join their team in San Francisco. This role is responsible for uncovering business needs for Strategic & Enterprise Accounts and building a pipeline for the sales organization. The Account Development Representative will collaborate with marketing, sales enablement, and management to create campaigns and prospect to develop leads for Sales. They will also conduct business dealings with prospects to create a superior customer experience.
What This Role Involves:
- Creating strategic targets to identify & generate new & expansion business opportunities
- Meeting or exceeding strategic goals & committed targets by engaging with qualified leads
- Qualifying opportunities by understanding business challenges and educating them on the value of Postman's product
- Completing detailed research within targeted accounts to identify key contacts & critical account information
- Identifying & targeting strategic new prospects that would accelerate territory growth
- Selecting & engaging with prospects that are identified through marketing efforts
- Becoming an expert in sales prospecting platforms & tools
- Using identified customer challenges to prescribe relevant campaigns & events to drive engagement
- Developing superior customer service relationships with prospects
- Updating lead status & all prospect interaction in CRM application daily
Requirements:
- 6 months ‐ 2 years’ experience in business development, sales or related field
- Experience with lead qualification at all levels within organizations
- Ability to work in a high energy, fast‐paced sales environment
- Proficiency with standard productivity tools
