Job Description
Sterlington, an international law firm, is seeking an Attorney Professional Development Lead to enhance the continued legal education (CLE) of its fee-earners and manage the firm's associate cohort. This is a fully remote, full-time, independent contractor role. The role involves collaboration with partners and senior stakeholders. Responsibilities include:
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on attorney productivity, availability, utilization, and professional development.
  • Providing partner teams with data on attorney utilization and availability.
  • Logging and overseeing associates’ CLE.
  • Implementing a performance evaluation process for associates.
  • Tracking and facilitating the realization of Professional Development Priorities identified during review processes.
  • Identifying training needs and skill gaps across fee-earner teams and organizing appropriate training programs.
  • Collaborating with HR to design and roll out a new associate onboarding and orientation program.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience collaborating with partners and senior professional services stakeholders within a law firm environment.
  • Coaching or L&D qualification and brings 8 years of experience working within a professional services environment (law firm preferred).
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Officer365 skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and exercise good judgment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral/written communication skills.
  • Handles confidential material with discretion.
