Deputy MLRO at Bitpanda

Bitpanda is seeking a Deputy MLRO to support the MLRO in maintaining a robust AML/CTF compliance framework. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial crime risks, ensuring the company maintains the highest compliance standards while enabling business growth. This individual will proactively monitor transactions, conduct due diligence, and assist in regulatory reporting, strengthening Bitpanda's financial crime prevention efforts.

What this role involves:

• Support AML/CTF Compliance by assisting in maintaining and enhancing AML/CTF frameworks.
• Transaction & Blockchain Monitoring to help review transactions and blockchain activity.
• Assist in preparing and submitting SARs to relevant authorities.
• Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC) support for customer onboarding and ongoing monitoring.
• Support the MLRO on regular reporting to management .
• Assist in delivering internal AML/CTF training programs.

Requirements:

• Experience in AML, compliance, or financial crime prevention, ideally within crypto, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong understanding of BaFin regulations, the German Money Laundering Act (GwG), and MiCAR.
• Ability to assess AML risks, review policies, and analyze transactions with precision.
• Eagerness to expand expertise and support the MLRO in ensuring compliance.
• Ability to effectively engage with internal teams, regulators, and external stakeholders in both German and English.
