Bitpanda, founded in Vienna, Austria, is seeking a Crypto Fraud Investigation Specialist to join their team in Barcelona, Spain. The company aims to simplify wealth creation through its user-friendly platform, empowering both novice and expert investors to trade various assets around the clock.
The Crypto Fraud Investigation Specialist will monitor and investigate online transactions to identify fraud, scams, and money laundering patterns, with a focus on proactive detection and creative prevention techniques.
What the role involves:
- Investigating banking, credit card, and crypto transactions to detect and analyze suspicious behavior.
- Taking ownership of Fraud/Scam investigations for online transactions that require further checks.
- Providing input and feedback toward system and process improvements.
- Granting operational internal & external support while meeting established SLAs.
- Creating ad hoc reports describing the latest fraud groups/scenarios using various tools and systems.
Requirements:
- Passionate about fraud prevention, proactive intervention methods, and hungry to make an impact.
- Relevant experience in fraud prevention in a cryptocurrency/Fintech company.
- Ability to thrive in an ever-changing environment and adapt to different work volumes.
- Flexible to work various shift patterns (e.g. 7am to 3pm and 3pm till midnight) as well weekend shifts.
- Proficiency in Chainalysis; knowledge of SQL would be a plus.
