Bitpanda, a leading European investment platform, is seeking a Data Engineer to join its growing team of data enthusiasts in Barcelona. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building user-friendly data products and enabling data-driven decision-making.
The Data Engineer will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a modern data platform that empowers the entire company. They will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data quality and governance, and contribute to the design of the core data model.
What this role involves:
- Participating in building and improving a modern data platform.
- Contributing to the ongoing design of the core data model.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to establish data quality and governance standards.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining robust and observable data pipelines.
- Contributing to team strategy and roadmapping.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience developing processes to ingest and process data using Python and SQL.
- Experience working in cloud-based environments like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Snowflake and tools like Airflow and dbt.
- Understanding of data quality and governance concepts.
- Willingness to learn and to grow with the team.
- Bonus point for experiences with real time analytics, A/B testing, data catalogs, Apache Iceberg, etc.
