Software Engineer, Java (Digital Asset Systems)

Job Description

Bitpanda, a leading European investment platform, is seeking a Software Engineer to join its core trading team. The successful candidate will develop business-critical services, ensuring they are scalable and future-proof. This role involves working on new-age tech projects, tackling architectural challenges, integrating with third-party vendors, and collaborating with various engineering teams within Bitpanda.What this role involves:

• Developing clean, scalable, and maintainable solutions in Java for high-performance backend systems with event-driven architecture hosted on AWS with Kafka.
• Ensuring the quality of the codebase with extensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Driving innovation by adopting the latest trends and technologies.
• Collaborating within a motivated team of highly skilled developers.

Requirements:

• Passion for top-notch development practices.
• Strong proficiency in Java (17-21+).
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., Postgres).
• Experience creating and maintaining publicly available REST APIs.
• Familiarity with event-driven microservices.
• Bonus points for familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, PHP, and CI/CD Pipelines (Gitlab, Jenkins).
