Kick is seeking a Software Development Engineer (Frontend) to join their team in Melbourne, Australia. Kick is a global live-streaming platform for entertainment content, aiming to empower creators with tools and revenue-sharing structures. The Software Development Engineer will actively engage in hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting. They will contribute to team goals, lead projects independently, and foster a collaborative learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in hands-on coding, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Innovate within the team and drive constructive changes.
  • Analyze complex problems and provide effective solutions.
  • Lead and complete medium-sized projects independently.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative in technical discussions.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with the team.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks (Go, PHP and React).
  • Strong understanding of code architecture and design principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
