Staff Engineer Upperbody, Body Structures

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Engineer to join their Body Structures Team, focusing on the upper body design and development for their electric vehicle platforms. This role involves designing weight-efficient automotive BIW structural parts and assemblies to achieve optimal NVH, durability, and crashworthiness performance. The ideal candidate will exhibit a proactive attitude and excel in a fast-paced environment.

The Staff Engineer will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to integrate multiple systems efficiently. Collaboration with stakeholders across Vehicle Safety, Vehicle Dynamics, NVH, Durability, Manufacturing, and the Design Studio is crucial for creating world-class designs. They will also interpret CAE analysis results to guide design evolution and collaborate with manufacturing to ensure efficient processes and build quality.

Role Involves:

• Designing and developing automotive BIW structural parts and assemblies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Creating testing plans and coordinating physical tests.
• Performing detailed analysis of materials and manufacturing processes.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of expertise in automotive Body Structures.
• Experience working with Class A surface data.
• Experience in prototype and production assembly.
