Rockstar Games is looking for a Marketing Manager to help grow their business in South Korea. The Marketing Manager will report to the Senior Publishing Director (Asia) and will work independently but with support from the regional team. The ideal candidate should deeply understand South Korean players and be experienced in bringing Western products and live services to market. This is a full-time role based in Take-Two Seoul office.
Role involves:
- Supporting the growth of the Rockstar business in South Korea.
- Building and developing a roadmap that leads to enhanced awareness of brand, products, and live services.
- Creating tailored product marketing strategies.
- Maintaining and leveraging relationships with local partners.
- Serving as the primary representative of Rockstar Games in South Korea.
- Maintaining awareness of South Korean press and social media best practices.
- Establishing relationships with the local gaming community and creators.
- Supporting the execution of media, lifestyle, industry, and community events.
- Providing local insight on communications efforts.
- Working closely with the Communications team.
Requirements:
- Native-level Korean, fluency in English (IELTS qualification or equivalent is a plus).
- Subject matter expert, with a Degree &/or 5+ years of professional experience in consumer marketing, preferably interactive entertainment.
- Expertise launching &/or managing Western brands/IP in the South Korean domestic market.
- Deep knowledge of regional/cultural landscape differences and similarities in the gaming communities of South Korea and North America.
- Proven ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, while driving impactful results.
- Able to contribute towards strategic planning efforts whilst also managing day-to-day domestic execution with excellence.
- Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to take initiative and own projects from start to finish.
- Strong presentation and organizational skills.
- Creative thinker with the skills to analyze marketing challenges and develop effective marketing solutions.
- Detail and results-oriented self-starter with disciplined workflow practices.
- Comfortable providing actionable insight from internal data and consumer research.
- Demonstrated success thriving in high-pressure, high-expectation roles, delivering exceptional results.
