Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Rockstar Games is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh. This role is focused on growing and maintaining the technology platform that powers Rockstar’s online titles. The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for automating repetitive tasks and developing tooling to support development teams. He or she will also collaborate with developers, DBAs, build engineers, and security teams to build world-class infrastructure for high traffic websites and services.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain internal developer tooling or platforms.
• Support development teams in their day-to-day work.
• Automate software delivery process through CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure the observability of tooling, CI/CD pipelines and services.
• Define and promote patterns and standards for software observability, monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

• Understanding of GitHub and associated tooling.
• Experience with IaC or GitOps practices (Terraform, Chef/Ansible, ArgoCD).
• Experience with software observability using tools such as Sentry, Splunk or Grafana.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages, such as TypeScript, C#, PowerShell or Python.
• Proficient in the use of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
