Technical Program Manager, VAVE

Job Description

Lucid Motors is seeking a Technical Program Manager, VAVE to lead their Value Analysis / Value Engineering Program Management Organization. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. They will be responsible for driving execution, communicating status, and identifying value engineering opportunities. They will work cross-functionally with engineering and operations teams to implement cost reduction initiatives.

The Technical Program Manager, VAVE role involves:

• Supporting the leading VAVE Program Manager by focusing on the analysis and engineering of value in a product
• Driving execution on schedule
• Being responsible for clear communication of status and issues at all levels
• Supporting the cross functional engineering and operations teams to identify and implement value engineering opportunities
• Developing, prioritizing and driving product cost reduction initiatives with engineering, supply chain, and operations
• Reviewing, owning, and tracking targets of the costed BoM for current and future programs
• Preparing escalations and decisions on cost measure initiatives
• Defining and maintaining the schedule for individual cost reduction measures
• Supporting the coordination of benchmarking sessions

Requirements for the Technical Program Manager, VAVE role include:

• 5+ years of industry experience, automotive preferred
• 3+ years of experience in Program Management or Product development
• Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
• Energetic and willing to learn and take on new challenges
• Familiarity with simultaneous engineering, cost engineering and project management principles advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Advanced experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence and Smartsheets
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization
• Ability to travel as needed
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical engineering, or related field)
