Job Description
Airbyte is seeking a Senior Developer Advocate to champion data movement and engage with the engineering community. This role involves creating technical content, driving adoption, and shaping user experience. The Senior Developer Advocate will work across product, engineering, growth, and community teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Build tutorials, sample repos, walkthrough videos, blog posts, and live sessions.
  • Develop resources for troubleshooting sync failures, managing schema drift, and scaling connectors.
  • Represent Airbyte across GitHub, Slack, Reddit, Stack Overflow, and more.
  • Share patterns, recipes, and config examples.
  • Capture feedback from data engineers and bring insights to product and docs teams.
  • Build and maintain demo pipelines and open-source starter kits.
  • Contribute code, docs, or utilities to the Airbyte OSS repo.
  • Speak at data meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Share best practices and operational playbooks.
  • Support partner integrations.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years in developer advocacy, data engineering, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern data tools (Airflow, dbt, Spark, SQL-based warehouses, etc.).
  • Experience creating high-quality technical content.
  • Strong grasp of data movement patterns.
  • Clear communicator with public speaking experience.
  • Track record of engaging in technical communities.
