Job Description

Airbyte is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their GTM team. The Solutions Engineer will be responsible for improving the qualification and onboarding process of new customers. This role involves working closely with multiple teams to support sales and post-sales functions, aiming for better qualification, quicker deal cycles, and enhanced customer satisfaction and retention.Airbyte is an open-source standard for Data Movement, enabling data teams to move data from various sources to data warehouses and more. • Being a technical expert on data movement via Airbyte.
• Working with Sales to technically qualify prospects and close deals.
• Collaborating with external technical counterparts to scope Airbyte engagements.
• Working with Airbyte technical support to ensure customer success.
• Documenting technical requirements, workflows, and functionality of prospects.
• Communicating technical feature requests and competitive intelligence internally.
• Demonstrating the use and best practices of Airbyte’s product.
• Representing and evangelizing Airbyte externally at conferences and events.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in a B2B customer-facing role (sales engineer or similar).
• 2+ years of SaaS/tech/startup experience.
• Solid understanding of modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, C#).
• Familiarity with modern data infrastructure (cloud applications, databases, ELT, warehouses).
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
