Diligent is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their team in Sydney. This role is pivotal in ensuring system availability, infrastructure integrity, and driving process automation. The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will collaborate with a global team, identify repetitive manual tasks, and automate them to reduce toil. Effective communication and collaboration with multiple development teams are essential to implement efficient and reliable procedures. The ideal candidate is hands-on and passionate about continuous improvement.
Role Involves:
- Maintenance and support of global applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Microsoft Windows, and Kubernetes.
- Supporting multiple Diligent datacenters and deployments in the Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Providing support to development teams on monitoring, scalability, and reliability.
- Contributing to incident management and response efforts for all Diligent applications.
- Defining automated playbook that integrates with ServiceNow and our incident management systems.
- Defining and measuring SLIs, SLO and SLA.
- Improving application performance and availability via log and metric analysis and anomaly detection.
Requirements:
- Systems administration experience (Linux or Windows or Cloud).
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or related containerization software.
- Knowledge of configuration management, release automation, and orchestration technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Cross-functional collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Good working experience for a wide range of technologies, frameworks, and platforms such as AWS Cloud, Windows, Linux, and Kubernetes.
- Working knowledge (or willingness to learn) of automating infrastructure components (e.g., routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage, and networks).
- Participate in architectural sessions and provide solutions to complex problems.
