Diligent is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Centre for Global Product Innovation in Budapest. The successful candidate will contribute to building a new comprehensive Data Platform, processing data from numerous sources using tools like ML classification, NLP, and tagging. They will collaborate with the Data Science team and assist in generating various reports for clients, all within a native AWS environment.

The Data Engineer will apply their analysis, design, programming, and testing skills to develop and maintain scaled SaaS software solutions. They will take ownership of features, drive improvements in software design, and potentially mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Designing, coding, reviewing, and testing assigned features and user stories within an agile methodology.
  • Collaborating with the product owner and engineering manager to analyze and document technical requirements.
  • Assisting with the production of high-quality operational and system documentation.
  • Communicating effectively with other development teams to ensure smooth software delivery.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on development role at a commercial software company.
  • Experience with Python and common libraries.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with cloud tools and cloud native development.
  • Experience with REST APIs.
  • Problem-solving attitude and a technology-agnostic approach.
  • Ability to contribute to a high-performing agile team.
