Diligent is seeking a Software Engineer (Python) to join their Centre for Global Product Innovation in Budapest. The candidate will contribute to building Diligent's new comprehensive Data Platform.

Responsibilities include:
  • Designing, coding, reviewing, and testing features and user stories.
  • Influencing product design, including separating components and designing prototypes.
  • Collaborating with product owners and engineering managers on technical requirements.
  • Assisting with the production of operational and system documentation.
  • Communicating with development teams and other technology groups to ensure smooth software delivery.

The ideal candidate should poses:
  • 2+ years of experience in a hands-on development role at a commercial software company
  • Experience (2+ years) with Python
  • Experience with cloud tools, cloud native development, IaC, preferably AWS.
  • Problem-solver attitude - Technology agnostic approach
  • Good written and oral communications
  • Solid troubleshooting ability and skills
  • Ability to contribute to the effectiveness of a high-performing agile team, and to the product innovation.
  • Successfully manage own workload, and take personal responsibility and ownership for delivery, behaviours, and self-improvement
  • Keen to improve processes and share knowledge across the team.
