Metropolis is seeking a Senior LAMP Developer with expertise in web application development and maintenance using the LAMP stack and WordPress. The candidate will lead development, customize WordPress, design databases, conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, collaborate with front-end developers, and optimize applications.Metropolis is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision technology to enable frictionless, checkout-free experiences in the real world.

• Leads the development of web applications using LAMP technologies.
• Customizes WordPress plugins, themes, and APIs.
• Designs and implement database schemas and optimize queries.
• Conducts code reviews and provides feedback.
• Troubleshoots complex issues.
• Collaborates with front-end developers.
• Optimizes applications for speed and scalability.

• 7-8 years of LAMP stack experience.
• 3+ years of WordPress experience.
• Knowledge of PHP and its frameworks
• Proficiency in MySQL, HTML/CSS/JavaScript.
• Experience with noSql databases like mongodb
• Understanding of OOP and MVC architecture.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (jQuery).
• Experience with Git.
• Familiarity with server configurations and optimizations.
• Experience with RESTful APIs.
• Problem-solving and debugging skills.
