Job Description
The Company Metropolis is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to lead and manage their Accounts Payable team. This role is critical in supporting the company's fast growth. The successful candidate will oversee high-volume domestic and international payment operations for multiple business units, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Role involves:
- Leading a large and diverse AP team, including hybrid and remote employees.
- Overseeing vendor setup and maintenance processes.
- Managing invoice entry and payment issuance processes.
- Overseeing AP-related month-end close activities.
- Ensuring accurate preparation and filing of 1099 forms.
- Managing travel and administrative expense processing and policy compliance.
- Driving system improvements and supporting the implementation of new AP tools.
- Developing and implementing AP policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in an Accounts Payable leadership role.
- Exceptional Excel skills, including advanced functions such as XLOOKUPs.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated experience in team building and fostering a positive, adaptable work culture.
- Experience leading large and diverse teams, including hybrid and remote employees.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, including invoice entry, reconciliations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP implementation and process improvement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
