Manager of QA at Placements.io

Placements.io is seeking a Manager of Quality Assurance (QA) to lead its global QA team. The ideal candidate will have experience leading teams, driving QA strategies, and overseeing both manual and automated testing. This is a hybrid role requiring flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a global team of QA engineers.
• Develop and implement comprehensive QA processes.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of test plans and scripts.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Utilize automated testing tools to improve testing efficiency.
• Track and report key QA metrics and implement improvements.
• Manage the QA team’s workload, priorities, and deliverables.
• Advocate for best practices in software testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Manage the QA budget and resources.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in QA.
• 2+ years in a leadership role managing global teams.
• Hands-on experience with both manual and automated testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and agile methodologies.
• Proven track record of implementing QA processes in a SaaS environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing QA for global teams.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to balance short-term project needs with long-term strategic goals.
