Staff Product Designer

Job Description

Podium is seeking a Staff Product Designer to join their team in Lehi, Utah. The Product Design team delivers tools that aid local businesses, and this role requires someone enthusiastic about crafting solutions to customer challenges. The candidate will work onsite Monday through Friday to enhance collaboration.

As a Staff Product Designer, the individual will partner with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver AI solutions for small businesses. They will balance speed and quality, designing workflows, interactions, prototypes, and visuals. The role involves shaping how businesses interact with AI-first software products and collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of end-to-end features for product areas like AI employees, automations, and bulk messaging.
• Define strategies for product development and user experience.
• Drive the evolution of style standards across desktop and mobile.
• Conduct user research to understand customers and their needs.
• Work cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Engineering partners.
• Mentor and grow Product Designers early in their career
• Participate in recruiting and interviewing design candidates.

Requirements:

• An excellent portfolio showcasing a foundation in typography, interaction design, and visual design.
• Case studies demonstrating the ability to design solutions that meet user needs, product requirements, and business goals across mobile, web, and desktop applications.
• Proven ability to lead through ambiguity.
• Experience designing with AI tools.
• Experience in product design organizations and working cross-functionally with Product and Engineering.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
