Job Description

Podium is seeking a Sales Development Representative in Melbourne, Australia, to be the initial point of contact for potential clients. Podium provides a platform and AI employees for local businesses.

The Sales Development Representative will proactively engage with new prospects to generate interest and determine if Podium is a good fit for their business. The representative will have access to software as a service tools to help with this.

Role Involves:

  • Prospecting, generating, and qualifying leads to create sales-ready opportunities.
  • Making outbound calls and emails daily.
  • Initiating the sales process by managing outbound calls and emails and reaching out to key decision-makers.
  • Exceeding monthly quotas for qualified appointments/demos scheduled and deals closed.
  • Collaborating with the Sales team to schedule prospect calls, meetings, and product demos.
  • Pipeline management: entering and maintaining data in Salesforce.

Requirements:

  • A passion for engaging with new people.
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Confidence, eloquence, and drive.
  • Experience carrying and exceeding KPI’s and targets.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles such as retail, hospitality, or customer service and a desire to explore a career in tech sales.
