Schonfeld is seeking an experienced Trader to join their team in the Tokyo office. The role requires expertise in the Japanese market and a passion for trading.

The Trader will proactively collaborate with portfolio managers, maintain best practice execution, understand risk and regulatory issues, manage broker relationships, and handle communication with US and European PMs regarding the Japanese market.

What this role involves:

  • Maintaining best practice execution on all trades.
  • Collaborating with Portfolio Managers on market color and trading ideas.
  • Understanding day-to-day risk, regulatory, and compliance issues.
  • Managing broker relationships.
  • Managing communication and trading needs of US and European PMs.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the Japanese market.
  • Deep understanding of equities trading within Japanese market.
  • Japanese and English language skills.
  • Experience collaborating with multiple Portfolio Managers.
  • Fluency with trading technology.
  • Commitment to ethical and professional standards.
  • Knowledge around the structure of the major Asian equity markets.
  • Strong analytical skills.
