Eucalyptus, an Australian-founded digital healthcare company, is seeking experienced and proactive Tax Specialists to join their Finance team in Manila. In this role, the specialist will play a vital part in shaping teams and helping Eucalyptus build its external brand.
The Tax Specialist is responsible for ensuring that global tax compliance needs are met and tax structuring strategy is scalable as Eucalyptus launches into new markets.
Responsibilities include:
- Indirect Taxes, APAC - responsible for the monthly BAS obligations in Australia and annual FBT return, and other tax research for APAC as required by the business
- Indirect Taxes, EMEA - responsible for the quarterly VAT obligations across the EMEA region and other tax research for EMEA as required by the business
- Global Corporate Taxes - responsible for managing our corporate income tax returns for all group companies, and monthly management of our transfer pricing, royalties and interest calculations and withholding taxes
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years in Tax Compliance, Structuring or Advisory, with hands-on experience in one or more of the following specialities: Indirect Taxes (VAT and GST), Corporate Income Taxes, Transfer Pricing Royalty and Interest Withholding Taxes
- Experienced working in markets outside the Philippines, ideally in Australia, UK or the European Union.
- Proven ability to research and document findings on complex tax matters
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to provide clear updates and build rapport with stakeholders from a non tax background
- A keen eye for detail, to ensure transactions comply with local tax laws and regulations
- Experience auditing or working with large data sets in an ERP system highly regarded
