League is seeking a General Accountant to join their Finance team. The General Accountant will support various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.In this role, the General Accountant will:
  • Support the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and validating financial results.
  • Assist with government filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and track internal development costs to ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Accounting Manager to support purchasing and accounts payable processes.
  • Assist with financial analysis as needed to support expense tracking and reporting.
  • Support audit and compliance activities by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with external audits.
  • Support special projects and other tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Experience with Airbase purchasing would be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet and other financial tools.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
