Engineering Manager Java

Job Description

Mirakl, a leader in the platform economy, is seeking an Engineering Manager Java to join their team in Paris. This role is within the Mirakl Labs, which are primarily located in Paris and Bordeaux. Mirakl Labs focuses on addressing client and user challenges related to new functionalities, scalability, security, and ergonomics.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the design, construction, adoption, and success of the product, specifically within the Mirakl Connect teams and squads.

Role Involves:

• Leading and mentoring a team of 4-5 developers and 1 tester.
• Managing one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
• Overseeing career development and training needs.
• Maintaining team cohesion and motivation.
• Contributing to development tasks, including coding and code reviews.
• Coordinating technical and functional projects.
• Developing roadmaps with R&D team members.
• Interacting with other leads to coordinate priorities and projects.
• Serving as the point of contact with product and design teams.
• Ensuring the team meets its commitments in terms of velocity and quality.
• Resolving project roadblocks and making arbitration decisions.
• Coaching and developing team members.
• Facilitating the successful onboarding of new developers.
• Identifying and developing talent.
• Contributing to recruitment efforts.
• Establishing best practices for clean code, testing, and production deployments.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in team leadership roles.
• 5 years of experience in Java development with recent versions.
• Proven management skills with strong communication abilities.
• Technical proficiency in Java, Spring, SQL, cloud technologies, and microservices.
• Ability to contribute technically to team projects.
• Professional English proficiency.
