Lead Analytics Engineer

Job Description

Mirakl, a leader in platform economy, is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to play a crucial role in building and optimizing data models, pipelines, and analytical solutions. This role involves providing high-quality data to Mirakl employees to accelerate decision-making and optimize workflows.He/She will be responsible for the mentoring and technical guidance of a squad of 3 people.Responsibilities

• Deploy a “self-service analytics” approach, providing the right tools and training users while maintaining key company dashboards.
• Develop and maintain efficient data models and the associated semantic layer, documenting all tables and KPIs.
• Implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks and optimize SQL/Python code to transform raw data into reliable and scalable data tables.
• Lead regular communication and alignment meetings with stakeholders (Product, Customer Success, Sales, Finance, etc).
• Define and prioritize the roadmap by evaluating competing demands.
• Collaborate closely with Analytics & Data Engineers to align on priorities and estimate efforts.
• Create and facilitate rituals, distribute workload, and track development progress.
• Mentor Analytics Engineers to develop their technical skills through constant feedback and code reviews.
• Ensure the quality of developments through the implementation of best practices for testing, documentation, and tracking.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or in a similar role.
• Initial experience in a lead position organizing the daily operations of the team, managing prioritization, and technically supervising peers.
• Experience implementing a self-service approach with Metabase or similar BI tools.
• Mastery of SQL, Python with experience in designing and optimizing complex queries and scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks/AWS or similar data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
