Lead Analytics Engineer

Job Description

Mirakl is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to play a crucial role in building and optimizing data models, pipelines, and analytical solutions. This will enable Mirakl employees to securely, efficiently, and independently access high-quality data for faster decision-making and optimized workflows. The role involves mentoring and technically leading a squad of 3 people.Mirakl Labs teams are primarily located in Paris and Bordeaux, collaborating daily to address client and user issues. They operate in agile mode, organized into Squads consisting of a Squad Lead, 5 developers, a Product Manager, and a QA specialist. These teams focus on designing and implementing new features, enhancements, and APIs.Responsibilities:

• Develop data products and implement a self-service analytics approach.
• Maintain data models, ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks, and optimize SQL/Python code.
• Manage stakeholders, prioritize tasks, and collaborate with Analytics & Data Engineers.
• Lead an Analytics squad, distribute workload, and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure development quality through testing, documentation, and tracking.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or similar role.
• Experience in a lead position, managing team operations and providing technical guidance.
• Experience implementing self-service analytics with Metabase or similar BI tools.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience in designing and optimizing queries and scripts.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks/AWS or similar data platforms.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
