Harbinger Motors is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure the reliability and safety of ADAS features in their electric vehicles. The role involves developing, executing, and automating test plans to validate ADAS software. The successful candidate will work with perception, sensor fusion, controls, and system integration in a fast-growing company.
Role involves:
- Developing test plans and scripts for ADAS software validation.
- Collaborating with software engineers to define testing requirements.
- Executing unit, integration, SIL, HIL, and VIL testing.
- Designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyzing test results and debug software defects.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborating with perception, control, and systems integration teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on embedded systems or automotive applications.
- Experience with ADAS systems or autonomous driving software.
- Experience testing safety-critical systems (ISO 26262).
- Experience with camera, radars and ultrasonic sensors.
- Knowledge of software release processes and lifecycle management tools.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with Docker.
- Understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Experience with CAN / Ethernet tools.
- Ability to analyze C/C++ codebases and model-based (Simulink) code.
- Hands-on experience with software testing tools (IPG Carmaker, ecu.test, Simulink Test, GTest, PyTest).
- Strong grasp of SIL, HIL, and VIL testing methodologies.
