The Daily Beast, an operating business of IAC, is seeking a Breaking News Intern to join their award-winning newsroom in New York. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for emerging journalists to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. The intern will work full-time (37.5 hours/week) for a three-month period, including some evening and weekend shifts.Role Involves:

• Writing breaking news.
• Working quickly and cleanly.
• Taking initiative and direction.

Requirements:

• Experience writing breaking news.
• A voracious news diet and appetite that covers politics, pop culture, power, and big issues in national and global conversations.
• Prior knowledge of web publishing and using a content management system is a plus.
• Comfort meeting quick deadlines.
