The Implementation Engineer role at Cisco ThousandEyes involves working with large enterprise customers to ensure successful software adoption. The engineer will deliver enablement, implementation, and optimization services for the ThousandEyes platform. This role requires expertise in the ThousandEyes product, monitoring systems, and core network architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Guiding customers on deploying and implementing the ThousandEyes product.
  • Efficiently implementing ThousandEyes in customer environments.
  • Engaging with customers to deliver product implementation and integration services.
  • Leading multiple concurrent projects, understanding action items.
  • Delivering training and industry best practice discussions.
  • Building value-based customer relationships.
  • Tracking and reporting on customer engagement via enterprise data analytics.
  • Contributing to best practice creation and maintenance.
  • Identifying potential upsell/cross-sell opportunities.

Requirements:

  • A customer-first attitude.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a technical field, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years in a customer-facing role.
  • Project management and consulting experience.
  • Firm grasp of network and application protocols, Cisco/Juniper certification preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud/SaaS software products a plus.
  • Experience maintaining or implementing LAN/WAN environments.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (REST APIs).
  • Experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Outstanding communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Deep technical acumen.
  • English and Portuguese written and spoken communication skills (at C1/native level).
