Figure is seeking a Product Accounting Manager to lead financial operations related to loan transactions and servicing. The Product Accounting Manager will help with automations and refine processes as the company scales. This role provides an opportunity to shape the future of loan accounting by integrating financial practices with innovative technologies.

What this role involves:

  • Taking ownership of daily financial operations related to loan transactions, servicing, and sales activities.
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of loan accounting professionals.
  • Managing the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciling loan-related accounts.
  • Developing and implementing loan accounting policies and procedures, maintaining compliance with GAAP.
  • Partnering with external auditors to provide documentation and support for a seamless audit process.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, to solve loan accounting challenges and identify process improvements.
  • Driving automation initiatives to streamline loan data reporting and enhance real-time decision-making capabilities.
  • Contributing to ad hoc projects and initiatives that support business growth and scalability.

What Figure is looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on loan accounting.
  • Strong understanding of loan structures, servicing processes, and financial reporting for loan portfolios.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all work and deliverables.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to drive automation initiatives and streamline processes.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills, with the ability to write clear and concise accounting documentation.
  • A proactive self-starter who can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to a shared vision of excellence.
  • CPA or similar certification is a plus.
  • Fintech, public accounting, or startup experience is highly desirable.
