Senior QA Automation Developer

Upgrade is seeking a Senior QA Automation Developer to join their team. This is a fully remote position in Canada. The ideal candidate will have experience in developing test automation in Java using Selenium or Playwright, deploying services in Kubernetes, and working with log aggregators and app monitoring tools. They should also be passionate about automating tests and delivering high-quality features in a fast-paced environment.

Role Involves:

• Executing functional/performance tests
• Developing test automation
• Customizing, configuring, and patching services
• Analyzing log files and troubleshooting production issues
• Planning, creating, and implementing strategies/solutions for feature validations and test automation

Requirements:

• Ability to develop test automation in Java using Selenium or Playwright
• Experience in deploying services in Kubernetes, using deployment tools like ArgoCD and Jenkins
• Capability to improve efficiency of existing test infrastructure using Docker, Selenium and headless browser executions
• Familiarity with log aggregators such as SumoLogic, Kibana, or Splunk, and app monitoring tools such as Honeycomb, or Grafana
• Experience writing SQL queries and working in a cloud-based environment (AWS)
• Passion for automating tests and delivering high quality features in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable working in Agile methodology
